Long Term Effects from Chemical Burns – Hair Loss Information by Dr. William Rassman

what are the long term effects from chemical burns from hair highlighting? how long can it take a burn to heal completly? for first to second chemical burns what are normal treatments for those?

thank you

The mechanism of healing in chemical burns usually follows the healing of heat burn wounds. A first degree burn, which only has some redness and sensitivity of skin, is expected to recover within hours. A second degree burn generally involves deeper layers of skin and may include blisters. You need to visit a physician for a second degree burn, especially if a large area of skin is involved. Healing may take days to months depending on size of the burn.
