Hey. I am a 20 year old girl suffering from androgenic alopecia. My doctor prescribed Finasteride for me and after researching a little, I am a bit wary of it’s usage. Should I be taking it?

Women, especially those of child bearing age, should NOT be taking finasteride (Propecia). Period. I would find a new doctor.
