Hi and thanks for all the information you provide in this helpful blog. My question is: “Is it safe to use self tanning lotion to the scalp? I had this idea to tan the scalp to hide the hair missing. It would be like a home-made micropigmentation. What do you think?” Thank you!
I guess this could be something to try, though I’m not sure the “fake bake” self-tanning lotion would look like hair or even your hair color. I don’t see why it wouldn’t be safe, but just be sure to read the application instructions that come with whatever lotion you try. You just don’t want to end up looking like your head is sunburned.
There are lotions (Couvre) that reduce contrast between scalp and hair, and something like that might work better for what you want to do.
