I have to serve in the army for 9 months and it’s not allowed in my country to take finastride.
I’ll be there 5 days a week for 9 months. So I though of changing from taking 1 mg of finastride daily to taking 5 mg of finastride 3 days (Thursday,friday and saturday) a week.
Will that do the trick?
The recommended dose of Propecia (finasteride) for the treatment of genetic male pattern balding is one (1mg) pill a day. This is because the medication only lasts in your blood stream for a few hours. You should just ask your army doctor for their recommendation. Since the finasteride ‘fixes’ to the tissues and that fixation lasts a week or so, altering the dose schedule as you suggest probably will not hurt you, but it is not the recommended dose, so our position should always stick to what we know and what is recommended.
