A lot of girls need to touch men’s hair during sex, grabbing them all the time, running their fingers through them etc. Do you have any experience/stories/tips regarding this issue? So, even if you fix toppik powder with some hairspray, you can sometimes scratch it off your scalp or hair, can’t you? I’m around NW 2.5 and I’m currently wearing a type of mohawk hairstyle that is almost permanently waxed. So, it’s pretty obvious just from looking at it she shouldn’t touch it, but you’ll never know. And what about showering together, any stories/possible solutions?

Do you happen to know if topical fin is considered safer in terms of side effects then oral?

For those who have no side effects, oral finasteride is fine. For others, the topical may be a better solution as it is reported to have far less side effects.

Would you say you’ve noticed good results with topical vs. oral finasteride? I just had a chat with my pcp today and he seemed to think topical was less effective.

The Golden standard is the pill which I suspect means that the topical is compared to it as how effective it is compared to the pill. I don’t think that is 1:1, somewhat less

The photos show a very early response in just 2 months. Most young men are in a rush to see the response to medications, but the real good results, if they occur, will come about well after 6 months.

The use of both of these topical medications is effective, as shown here; however, a considerable amount of both of these drugs go systemic. It would be easier to take them orally and then you would know the systemic component of the dosage.

What are your thoughts on this “new” topical Finasteride formulation which claims that, “The effectiveness appears to be equal to oral Finasteride, but serum levels are 1/18th that of the oral route.”

My problem with this is the function of Finasteride. Doesn’t Finasteride work to effectively inhibit the formation of DHT? If the serum levels of Finasteride are 1/18th, then DHT is still being formed in the rest of the body as normal, which will eventually circulate to the scalp. Do you think it’s possible that somehow this topical route actually effectively inhibits DHT in the scalp properly? Or do you think this study is not well done (it was done by the creators of the gel, so there’s obvious conflicts of interest)?

I really don’t know. You want to reduce the topical dose, but I don’t know evidence that this works. Frankly, we are flying blind here.
