Terrible looking hairline like picket fence

The surgeon was proud of this picket fence which is what it will look like when it grows out. What is a normal hairline is one that has a transition zone from the forehead to the thicker hair. Look at members of your family (male and female) and I think that will show you what normal is.

I Have Terrible Results from My Beard Transplant, What Can I Do? (Photo)

You can have these beard grafts removed with FUE by using a large enough punch to remove the elevated skin along with the grafts. You might want the surgeon to put back the hair at the same time without the excess skin, so it will minimize the scar discoloration that would occur.

Terrible post-operative care after hair transplant (photo)

Can you imagine having to walk around like this. The doctor has no sense that there was a technique to wash off the crusts the day of and the day after the surgery. Within 3 days of surgery you should look perfectly normal and able to go out in public without detection. By the third day, you should be able to resume full activities, heavy exercises if you wish. The recipient area requires daily washes as well to keep the recipient area free of crusts. I generally recommend the use of a sponge and supply my patient with a surgical sponge to fill with soapy water and press on the recipient area daily. By repeating this daily, all crusts can be washed off without any fear of losing grafts. IF any crust are present, use a Q tip and dip it into soapy water, and roll it on the crusts and that will lift them off without dislodging them, but never rub them, just roll the Q tip on the recipient crust. I like to see no evidence of any crusting in the recipient area and the crusts from the donor area gone in 7-10 days with daily washing. Below are two patients, this one with terrible crusting on the left and one of my patients on the right placed side by side for comparison purposes. Both patient are 6 days after the transplant. Can you tell which patient is New Hair Institute’s patient?

Terrible hairlines with photos and explantion

I have showed you two views of the same hair transplanted patient. Please note that the frontal hair grafts have 2 or more hairs each and the temple peaks are straight as if drawn on by a ruler. This is relatively fresh surgery but when it grows out, anyone will tell this is an abnormal hair transplant, poorly done. It was done in Turkey by someone who just didn’t understand what a hairline is supposed to look like. He got a bargain price, but when he looks in the mirror when it grows out, it may not be worth the bargain.

Terrible hairline design (grafts look like cereal)

This is a terrible design of a hair transplant, an upside down heard. No body balds this way so I can’t imagine what the person who did this had in mind. Add ot the terrible design is the cereal looking granular recipient sites. Again, I feel sorry for this patient.

terrible hair transplant

This young man had a hair transplant by someone that didn’t understand the art and science of hair transplantation. There is no hairline design and large 2-5 hair grafts in the front of the hairline which looks pluggy. The repair for this should be relatively easy for me, but first I would have to see him and then make a plan with him.

Terrible Hair Transplant Reportedly by a Doctor with No Moral Compass

My doctor implanted hairs over my existing hairs. The result of what he did destroyed my hair and my donor area. He told me that he had to do this because I was going to lose it anyway. I’m a mess now and am ashamed of what I allowed him to do on me. Now what to do?

Some doctors take advantage of young men who are scared to death about losing their hair. Some doctors are like predators and look for men who will fill their pockets with money. You need to find a good doctor who can assess your situation and give you a plan on what to do. Most good doctors can help you but a second mistake is not an option so be careful in finding a doctor.

Terrible Folliculitis on a Patient After a Hair Transplant (Photo)

This is a complication of a hair transplant, about as bad as one can get. This is massive folliculitis with pus draining from many of the pus pockets on his head (look carefully and you can see this). One might ask why this happened and I would make the following comments:

  1. In over 16,000 hair transplant procedure in the 8 different offices I have operated, I have never seen anything like this in my practice.
  2. This is most likely the result of a breakdown of the clean/sterile environment required for any surgical procedure, including the use of sterilized equipment, surgical tools and sterile disposable gauze, gloves and the like.
  3. This patient should have sought medical attention way before these pustules advanced to such a level.
  4. Each and every one of these pustules requires drainage by a surgeon and a culture and sensitivity for the bacteria that has caused this. This is critical for a successful rapid recovery because sometimes the antibiotic is not the correct antibiotic to kill the identified bacteria. The lab which tests for antibiotic sensitivities will tell which antibiotic will work to kill these bacteria. Infections with staphylococcus are often resistant to many antibiotics, so such tests are critically important when treating such a condition.
  5. His chance of losing the hair grafts that were transplanted is high
