Great results in just 4 months from minoxidil, finasteride & microneedling

You might ask why this man has such an astounding result in just 3 months. I have little doubt that the core technology here was microneedling supplemented with minoxidil and finasteride.

Good results from nizoral, minoxidil and finasteride use for 4 months

I buzzed my hair down out of depression for my rapid hair loss in 2020 but simultaneously started treating the condition with finasteride and minoxidil off of a friends recommendation when my buzzed hair came into conversation (oddly I was taking photos purely to keep track of how much I was loosing not to see if treatment was working). I was not expecting much but thought ‘why not’ anyway decided to take pictures every week and yesterday when examining them was shocked to see what looks like a great density and color improvement.

This man took photos along a 10 week course of finasteride and minoxidil showing the slow build-up of hair because of consistent use of these drugs. This shows that you are remarkably sensitive to the combination of minoxidil and finasteride. It’s too early to see enough results at this stage. Maybe in another 6 months the photo comparisons will have more value.

There is more than circumstantial evidence, as posted on https://www.pubmed.com, as to the efficacy of dermarolling. In their study, they used rollers with 1.5mm needles, and essentially rolled over the entire balding area, going in many different directions. The rolling was completed once the skin was a pinkish color, with small droplets of blood visible. This was in addition to the use of topical minoxidil. The theory is one of two; either the light wounding cause stem cells to create new hair follicles instead of skin (much like follica’s procedure), or it allowed the minoxidil to penetrate more deeply into the dermis. This was done twice per week, NOT everyday. As to the possible infection aspect, all I can say is…DUH!!! Basic antiseptic procedures MUST be followed when doing a procedure like this, especially if blood is produced. Spraying the dermaroller with a high concentration of alcohol (perhaps EverClear), washing the scalp, then using a high quality antiseptic solution on the scalp prior to the treatment is an absolute MUST. I would not be at all surprised to learn that those who do indeed acquire post-rolling infections are not adhering to basic pre-procedure antiseptic techniques. I have been derma-rolling for the past 3 years with NO adverse bacterial effect.

Great comment: Yes, there is now published data suggesting that combining Minoxidil and a dermaroller can increase the effectiveness of Minoxidil.

The hair grown with minoxidil requires you to stay on the minoxidil as the hair is dependent upon this drug. if you stop the drug, the minoxidil dependent hair will fall out.

How long before hair follicles become dependent on minoxidil?

Only the hair that minoxidil grows, is dependent upon minoxidil. The normal terminal hair will not become minoxidil dependent.
