What is wrong with my hair

In a separate picture not shown for confidentiality, I was able to look and measure the proportions of the face. You seem to have possibly two problems. (1) you may have thinning and I would have to examine you to determine this and (2) you have a very large forehead, much larger than the distance between your nose and your chin, a measurement I use for proportionality. If you just have fine hair, then you might have a surgery to consider reducing the size of your forehead. If you have thinning as well, then a diagnosis must be made as to the cause?

What is your opinion of this transplant (photo)

Too straight, too regular and not enough density. I am being honest. If you end up with a second hair transplant, you can easily fill in the density and make it irregular on the hairline and behind it. Did the doctor put single hair grafts in the front as he should?

What is wrong with my recipient area (photo)

You likely have an infection present with generalized redness and some pustule formation. Your doctor should drain one or more of the pustules, culture it and then place you on a targeted antibiotic.

What Is Wrong With Donald Trumps Hair?

I have heard from reliable sources that Donald Trump has had more than one scalp surgery to treat balding over 20 years ago. Many people who have had the older types of hair transplant procedures from the 1980s and 1990s often received deforming procedures that caused significant scarring on the scalp. Visible deformities can be covered up with good styling camouflage. In the 1980s and early 1990s, the hair transplants were created by pencil sized plugs and were often accompanied by hideous looking scalp reduction scars which, when the surgeon tried to cut out a bald scalp, left terrible deformities on the scalp. Today, hair transplants are created by moving hair in their natural growing groups of between 1-4 hairs each from the back and the sides of the head to where the balding problem exists.

I have heard that Donald Trump was a victim of these outdated techniques. Putting things together and relating it to my vast experience with patients who came to me to treat such deformities with ‘comb-overs’ or ‘comb-forward’ hair styles to hide these hideous deformities, I would guess that Donald Trump is a victim of these old surgical procedures and uses his now distinct hair style to cover it up. As long as he maintains this hair style and does not lose more hair, he will hold his iconic look.

The good news is that most people who were so victimized, have since come to be repaired with the more modern techniques developed over the past 20 years or so. Vice President Joe Biden is a good example of a politician who used to have a pluggy frontal hairline. Now, he proudly shows off a nice, frontal hairline with no evidence of any preexisting problems. I suspect, that Donald Trump is hiding something similar, using his dyed blonde hair and his ‘comb-forward’ hair style to hide his secret.

What is This Balding Bump on My Head?

I am currently having a lump/hump(elevated)on my head it’s circle in shape and around that bump is a bald area but inside that circle shaped hump has hair. What should I do sir? Is this some kind of a disease? Should I do something or wait for it to go away. I had this for nearly a year now and I’m still 15 years old. This was small at first but then it became bigger. I fear this can do something bad to my health. Please reply. I really need help. I went to the doctor but the medicine and lotion i received isn’t working. I think she had a wrong diagnosis. 🙂

thanks!

I really couldn’t begin to guess at what the lump is without an examination. It could be a variety of things, but there’s nothing that stands out to me by your description. If you’re not satisfied with your doctor’s diagnosis you should get a 2nd opinion from another doctor. It never hurts to double check!

Hair washing technique after hair transplant

I give the patient a surgical sponge that has no soap in it. The patient then wets his recipient area with softly running water. Any good shampoo can be used with the sponge. Put shampoo into a small bowl of water and then using the sponge, make a lot of suds so that it fills with shampoo. Then with a rolling motion (back to front, not rubbing), press the sponge on the recipient sites so the soap from inside the sponge squirts on the grafts as you press on the sponge holding a mild pressure on the grafts. A back to front rolling motion is best. This process is repeated until all of the crusts are off provided that it is started the day after the surgery. If there are some persistent scabs, use a Q-tip dipped into the bowl. Roll the a-tip over the scab until it comes off. The cotton in the Q-tip will pull off the scabs as you roll in over the scab. If you wait too long, the crusting (scabbing) gets fixed to the scalp and then there is a new problem, how to get off the crusts that have been there for a few days as these grafts are then fixed to the scalp. If you pull them off at this point in time, the grafts will come out. Read this article: https://newhair.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/mp-2006-graft-anchoring.pdf

What is the timeline for balding?

Well to my dismay I am now a member of this community at 23. The idea of balding hadn’t even entered my mind until my mom mentioned my hairline receding a few weeks ago. Now i see it. Her dad was bald at like 30 so i guess it makes sense. Now i go around staring at dudes’ hairlines and guessing what their NW levels are.

My question is: what kind of timelines have people experienced? Does this ever start and then stop for a decade or is it all downhill from here? Do some people only recede a little or is everyone who experiences any MPB destined to become larry david? Id like to keep my hair at least thru my 20s so do i just need to get on finasteride immediately? Or wait and see a few months?

Balding is progressive in men as shown in this link: https://baldingblog.com/need-master-plan-think-hair-transplants-photos/.

Recapeen, FUE Plus & Lasers for Hair Loss?

As creators of the FUE method, I presume you know what the FUE Plus method is? There is a clinic in my country that claims to have been able to boost the traditional FUE method by using a smaller tools when inserting the transplanted hair. (1) They claim that the increase in density is miraculously high, but still the improvement is impressive. Do you know more about this? (2) A new hairloss treatment called Recapeen, has been realeased. The “engine” in this package claims to be the unique pollen extract the substance is full of. Comments? And finally, 3) What is the strongest reason why to spend money on a hairtransplant rather then a laser treatment?

I looked at the site referred to in your question. There is not enough information for me to judge what FUE plus is. When I purchase a bottle of shampoo and the company comes up with a new version of the shampoo they may add the term ‘plus’ to the name. The detergent market for washing clothes, made the most popular product in the early 1900s. That product was ‘Tide’. Then as they were improving the product, sales did not rise fast enough, so they came up with New Tide. The adjective NEW turned out to be the most popular advertising word in capitalistic history. Everyone came up with a product and then made up a NEW version of that product. I, knowing this, called my company the New Hair Institute and purchased the phone number 800-NEW-HAIR before anyone else thought of it. I was, at the time, an old fashioned marketing person, so NEW did it for me. The modern iteration of this is the term PLUS. I guess, if you did not invent FUE, then the best way to grab onto market presence is to invent FUE Plus, or at least the name. I respect the marketing brain that thought of it. The choice of doctors, of course, should have little to do with PLUS or NEW, but rather who you can trust to do the FUE on your head. Experience and judgments are critical to this choice and you sound (at times) like you are making such choices.

I did look at Recapeen and see that this miracle cure is listed with many other such potions and lotions on the respective websites. If Recapeen worked so well, one might ask why other products are listed there? I call it good marketing and diversification of strategies. Spread out well, and more people will get some part of the message. What are you really looking for?

I agree with you that hair transplants should be obsolete if these miracles worked, but then again, first I would want to see the studies and the scientific evidence that it works, because I am a cautious buyer. Every day that you chase the magical cure for balding is another day that you will continue to lose hair and progress further down the pattern of hair loss buried in your genetic cards.

What is the role of the surgeon in a hair transplant?

Because the actual work takes often many people, the work load is distributed to technicians; however, the doctor must do the following: (1) give the anesthetic, (2) do all of the surgical planning including the design and distribution of the grafts, (3) make determinations on the size of the strip (if a strip surgery is one) or the instruments that are appropriate if FUE is done, (4) Perform the strip surgery or the FUE which includes the extraction of either the strip or the FUE coring component, (5) Orchestrate the individual’s roles, control quality of graft management among the staff who prepare the grafts and may insert them into sites made by the surgeon (site making must be done by the surgeon)?
