The more FUE grafts that are taken from the donor area, the more see-through the donor area is. Your history of 4,400 grafts suggests that your donor density was low, which would create this problem.

Hi doctor, excuse me if i contact you again about the same topic. You already told me in another website that singing 8 days after hair transplant (FUE) isn’ t a problem. However, in that website, it wasn’t possible to use many words to explain my situation, so I’ll try here. I am a professional singer, and I sing high notes (which is equivalent to a “controlled” scream ). I read that, after a hair transplant, you can’t shout for some days (to avoid raise blood pressure), but I didn’t understand why you can’t shout (and also sing high notes). I am worried because 8-10 days after my hair transplant (FUE), I started to sing high notes. So I ask: if the pressure had increased, would I have risked something for my grafts? ( I repeat, 8-10 days after FUE.) Or you don’t have to scream only the first days? (If yes, how many days? ) I didn’t bleed.

You can sing, scream or do whatever you want, even run a marathon as early as 4 days after a hair transplant. The grafts should be well set in 4 days.

I am on Minoxidil 5% topical for more than 8 months now, and beginning to see modest yet much appreciated results. I love massages. I remember reading years ago that scalp massages can damage hair in early anagen phase. Would I be putting my newly growing hair at risk if I indulge? For the purposes of your answer, please assume a massage once a month by a skilled masseur applying reasonable amount of pressure.

Where did you read that scalp massage can damage anagen hairs? The only thing I remember writing was a quip about a very vigorous head massage that could potentially cause hair loss in miniaturized hairs — but not damage hairs that are in anagen (growth).

If you must indulge in scalp massage, go for it! If you are scared you’ll lose the hair, then don’t get the scalp massage.

I see you posted about this website before – https://www.hairloss-reversible.com/my_approach.htm. It recommends treating hair loss by using the muscles at the front and back of the head to move the scalp back and forth.

I know this is unscientific and likely ineffectual. But I actually discovered how to do these exercises as a way to self-treat tension headaches and scalp tension, before I read the website or had any hair loss.

So my question is, might such exercises have any impact at all on miniaturizing follicles, particularly those being treated with minoxidil? I still like to moderately exercise my scalp in this way during the day (when no-one is looking, of course) but wonder if there might be some negative cross-over effects to moving about the scalp and follicles?

On the flip side, scalp exercises seem to be recommended to help loosen it prior to hair surgery?

Someone put the time and energy to put together that information.

From a medical point of view, scalp exercises will not grow hair or help miniaturized hair.

I keep seeing posts about how much Saw Palmetto to take to equal Fin. This makes me think people think Saw Palmetto is safe v fin. It’s the same mechanism, it isn’t dose dependent. Once you start altering DHT you start affecting the RECEPTORS. The receptors can shut down and that’s what people think causes the problems with both drugs. Your DHT goes back to normal. Test back to normal. But the receptors are basically off. You could do that with .0000001mg of fin or one pill of Saw Palmetto. What anyone chooses to do is up to them, but they should know that Saw Palmetto can definitely cause the exact same issues as Fin. Also, the problems mostly arise AFTER you stop. And the medicine (SP and Fin) works by literally making you less masculine, which is why trans people come in here looking like 16 year old Justin Bieber’s with all the hair gains. None of this is opinion. All the side effects listed are not side effects, they are direct effects

The placebo effect of both of these medications are the same but I doubt that there is enough DHT blocker in Saw Palmetto to product any significant sexual side effects
