The crown is very sensitive to finasteride in many men, regardless of age. This is unlike the frontal hairline, where finasteride sometimes reverses hair loss in young men under 25 but rarely over 40. The rest of the male population falls between 25-40, with variable results on the frontal hairline. Generally, the older you get, the less finasteride reverses the frontal hairline.
