I am a 30 year old male and a doctor told me that I needed a balloon expander to move my hairline down (photo)

Men should rarely get a hairline advancement surgery because of the risk of genetic balding that can appear at almost any age and show the scar when that happens. There is no need for a balloon expander in your situation as a hair transplant is more than adequate to address your hairline issue and less intrusive and less disruptive on your life style and certainly far less costly? We do these every day with hair transplantation.

I am 30 and had a hairline lowering procedure and now have a scar on my forehead (photo) FIX PHOTO

Hairline lowering procedures should not be performed on men because hairline recession is progressive and the scar from the procedure will eventually show up making the surgery evident to everyone, You will need a hair transplant to cover the scar and lower the hairline more appropriately.

30 Years of hair loss progression

These are pictures of Donald Kendall, President of Pepsi. The last picture was taken 7 years before his death at age 99. There are 30 years between these photos. When comparing these photos, it is evident that hair loss is progressive with age providing that you have the genes for balding. My maternal grandfather died with his juvenile hairline still present at the age of 102 which clearly shows that he didn’t have the balding genes.

I am 30 years old and want to know how many grafts it would take to fill in my crown (photo)

Knowing that you are 30 years old and assuming that your hair is of a medium thickness (not fine or coarse), it would take about 1800 grafts to fill in this area. More if it were fine, less if it was coarse. The crown is where the hair changes direction, so a good swirl needs to be created which takes more grafts. Thank you for putting your fingers in the photo so it give me a good way to estimate the size of the balding area

In just one day we repaired this man’s surgical scar and filled in a very thin crown area

I love doing Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) because at times, the results are instantaneously amazing as it was today. Leave aside some mild pink color to the area of the scar that was just treated (it will be gone tomorrow), he was blown away by the disappearance of his scar from two hair transplant procedures in the past and the apparent fill-in of his crown with just the SMP pigments. Scarring like his is unusual and occurs in only a few patients who have stretchable skin (with high elastin collagen). He said his crown looked as good as if he has another hair transplant today with instant growth.
