I’m a long term user of Fin since 21 years old. Can honestly say I haven’t experienced one single side the entire time I’ve been taking it. I only take a quarter tablet every night 0.25mg I’m almost 31 in a few weeks. I’ve noticed over the past month or so my libido has decreased enough for me to notice.. I don’t have trouble getting erections, and I still wake up with one as well But I can go days without feeling the need to masturbate where I used to get the urge every day. My interest in the opposite sex has seemingly waned as well, I’m more focused on working out/exercising and my other hobbies. I’m trying to narrow down what could be causing it. Fin was obviously the first thing to spring to mind, could it be after years of no sides I could get them suddenly?
Yes, some men reported this to me. The problem is that as men get older, ED becomes a problem without finasteride and so does a reduced libido in some men, so it is difficult to tell if it is the drug unless they stop it and if they stop it, then the could lose considerable hair volume.

It’s been 12 days since the transplant procedure and while almost none of the transplanted hair have fallen out yet, much of the transplanted fat tissue (I assume) is still clinging in small beads to the hair. Is this the “crusting” that many people write about? Any suggestions as to how to remove it – or is it just a matter of time before it comes off.
Also curious is that the small hairs have not fallen out yet… assume this is normal and just be patient and wait for them to fall out? Seems like the key to this whole process is to get on with your life and check your head in 8 months!
The crusting by this time can be removed by washing and then with the hair wet for a good 10 minutes, layer conditioner on the crusts and let it sit there about 10 minutes. Then, gently with your finger tips, rub these crusts — you should see them fall out. There is little danger in losing the grafts at this stage in time as long as you are gentle. The little hairs will generally fall out between 10-25 days after the surgery.
Hey, I just have a few questions that everyone gives me different answers about, and I would really like to hear the right answer. First, I am 15 years old and am trying to grow a full beard. However, only some hairs grow and the others don’t. Will it take a few months for them to develop into a beard or should i quit and wait a few years because i hate the somewhat-beard look? Also, I have a little bit more hair than normal above my shaving line on the cheekbones. I have not shaved it off, but can I or will that make the hairs come out thicker and worsen the situation? Or should I just ignore it and it’ll get better over time? Appreciate if you could answer my questions. Thanx
The ability to grow a full beard will depend on your genes. If you are not destined to have a hairy face, then that is your fate. Look at your father, his father, your brother, and your uncles and you will get to see what you probably have in store for you. Beards take time to grow out and in boys of your age, it is not uncommon for the beard to be patchy. Mine did not fill out until I was in my early 20s and now it is much too full for me. There is no way to make your hair come out “thicker” or faster.
Depending upon your bone maturation, it may not be unreasonable to use the drug finasteride, but first where you are on YOUR growth curve (e.g. bony maturation) plus other factors relating to your hair loss are critical to understand. I belong to a group of 60 doctors who share a common email and the subject of young boys 15 and up and the use of finasteride has come up. With proper doctoring, this can be an option. The HAIRCHECK test is a critical first step in evaluating the degree of hair loss that you have. Many doctors may not want to use this drug on you so it is a careful discussion with you, your parents and your doctors that is critical in making such decision.

the hair in my crown area is short, not bald but shorter than the rest of my hair. everything else is fine. im only 13 and i dont want to be bald, especially at this age.
is there something wrong with me? and if there is how can i fix it?
I have yet to see a healthy 13 year old bald young man, but I can’t say if there’s something wrong with you. We haven’t established whether what you’re seeing is actually even hair loss. Perhaps you had a bad hair cut? Sometimes if you look at yourself in the mirror or woke up from sleep with bed-hair, your crown area can look thin. This does not mean you are balding. I’d give it some time and let the hair on your crown grow longer.
You should see a doctor for a mapping of your scalp and hopefully the examination will not show miniaturization in the crown. Get your parents involved and let them know what you’re going through. It could just be that you’re looking for something that isn’t there.
