Knowing that you are 30 years old and assuming that your hair is of a medium thickness (not fine or coarse), it would take about 1800 grafts to fill in this area. More if it were fine, less if it was coarse. The crown is where the hair changes direction, so a good swirl needs to be created which takes more grafts. I first started noticing my very fine hair was thinning around 5 years ago. I’ve struggled with depression for a long time so I never did much about it, just accepted my fate I suppose. I should also note that I had a thyroidectomy in 2010 due to thyroid cancer.

I’m discouraged by my first experience but I would like some answers to the cause of my hairloss.
