3 surgical patients in the same surgical room

This runs a great deal of risk as one technician moves to help another and if one patient had HIV or hepatitis, then the disease is spread. You wouldn’t want to be that second or third patient. In most countries, this is illegal.

I am 30 years old and want to know how many grafts it would take to fill in my crown (photo)

Knowing that you are 30 years old and assuming that your hair is of a medium thickness (not fine or coarse), it would take about 1800 grafts to fill in this area. More if it were fine, less if it was coarse. The crown is where the hair changes direction, so a good swirl needs to be created which takes more grafts. Thank you for putting your fingers in the photo so it give me a good way to estimate the size of the balding area

30 y/o female with hair loss, what do I do?

I first started noticing my very fine hair was thinning around 5 years ago. I’ve struggled with depression for a long time so I never did much about it, just accepted my fate I suppose. I should also note that I had a thyroidectomy in 2010 due to thyroid cancer.

My mom has very, very thin hair, there’s not much left on her head. She’s 58. I take this as a sign that my problem is genetic.

Well my hair is to the point that I am embarrassed to show it in public. It’s super obvious. I have thin patches on the back of my head and some on the sides, plus right at my hairline, all up by my crown. I’ve decided to actually do something about it. So I started with Rogaine about a month ago. I saw a dermatologist who said he’s ‘never seen anything like it, its unheard of’ (my hairloss), I really didn’t like his bedside manner and didn’t feel comfortable with him. He said to do Rogaine, Biotin, and a Hairmax laser (which is out of my price range). Is it worth it to get a second opinion? I’m discouraged by my first experience but I would like some answers to the cause of my hairloss.

I wrote this on female hair loss and you should read it will give you a good guide through the doctoring process. https://baldingblog.com/female-patterned-hair-loss-fphl-diagnosis-made-biopsy-no-solution-hair-loss-losing-200-hairsday/ . If your mom lost much of her hair, then you need to consider Scalp Micropigmentation which might work for your mom and maybe even for you if you can’t find a cause for your hair loss (see here: https://scalpmicropigmentation.com/smp-for-women/)
