Finasteride Made Me Gay (From Reddit)

I don’t believe for one minute that this man became gay because he took Finasteride. This man almost certainly was in denial over his sexuality. I have seen men of many ages who have realized that their sexual preferences changed over time. Many have left their wives and entered the gay world. We are living in a fortunate time where judgments on such behavior is now acceptable.

Finasteride & Minoxidil 4 months

This 23 year old male had taken finasteride and minoxidil for 4 months. This is a remarkable benefit in just 4 months; however, the hair length is clearly longer in the photo on the right.

It is my best interest to continue with finasteride, Rogaine and microneedling however, I’m a bit concerned as to whether fin is losing efficiency or so. I am wanting to get a hair transplant in the nearby future. It is my intention to have the FUE procedure and have SMP to add to the density once the results had healed.
Thanks for writing to me. Your results from finasteride and microneedling are fantastic. At 20 years old, you have achieved the goal and I would continue to do all three (minoxidil, finasteride and microneedling once a week) with the hope that this will continue to improve your situation. At 20 there is no reason to do a hair transplant and if you are lucky and the finasteride and minoxidil with occasional microneedling holds on to your hair, you may not need a hair transplant for years to come. Finasteride, minoxidil and microneedling for 9 months

There does appear to be short hairs about an inch long (see arrow) suggesting that these are new hairs brought on by your Finasteride, minoxidil and microneedling approach.

Finasteride not working!

So I was on fin for around 1 year and then stopped for 2 months and have started again for 2 months (present day) and my hairline is progressively getting worse.

Finasteride doesn’t work for everyone but it often slows or stops the hair and as long as you can accept that, it is better than losing it

Where can I get Finasteride? None of the doctors I visited will prescribe it!

Yes, doctors are shy because of class action law suits brought on by men claiming that the doctors prescription of Finasteride made them impotent. Many young men seem to be hopping on that bandwagon but it seems that most of these suits are being tossed out. I still prescribe it with proper waivers signed.

Finasteride not working after 1 year

So i started January 2019 with 0,5 mg finasteride until june 2019. Then upped to 1,25 since then. I am still shedding more than 100 hairs after showering (i shower every two days). My right temple area has receded. I do comb my hair so it is not visible. However, my question is will this receded area (so no hairs are there anymore) grow back or is it lost?

There is a good chance that the hair loss is slowing with the finasteride. IF you should stop it, you might even see it accelerate. Some men’s genes are just to strong for balding and even finasteride might not be able to reverse the process, only a hair transplant works.
