Beard Pimples (Photo)

I had a beard transplant in Turkey, and I can’t go back to my doctor as I am in England. What is wrong with me and what can I do?

You should find a local doctor who will diagnose and treat you. You most likely have an infection (folliculitis) which needs to be drained by a doctor, cultured and then treated with appropriate antibiotics.

The problem with traveling to Turkey is that when complications arise, where do you go? Who is responsible for you? I guess the answer is that you are responsible for yourself and you must take charge of your complications by finding a doctor who is willing to step up and treat you as a human being who requires medical attention.

6 weeks following beard transplant and face is still swollen

The skin after a beard transplant takes a few months to become normal as some swelling often remains in the skin and soft tissue of the face. Consider returning to see your doctor if you are concerned.

Be open with your doctor, never be embarrassed

Thanks. I did have a checkup with my dermatologist but I was too embarrassed to mention the mild testicular ache. Should I be more open in the future? I thought it wasn’t much to worry about and its gone now. If it was persist I would have mentioned it.

Never be shy about talking about anything to your doctor. Always speak from the heart, even if you feel that the doctor might not understand you well enough. We hear it all and we don’t make judgments, just diagnosis and treatment recommendations, when indicated. I thought I would share a story about an HIV patient who didn’t know until I tested him and everything that surrounded this particular patient and what I did, what happened to me and a follow-up as well: https://baldingblog.com/hiv-and-hair-transplants/

Beard growth on young man

I see questions about if a beard will grow with finasteride on here, and for me it doesn’t seem to affect my beard! I’ve seen improvements and have used minox for my beard, even before my hairline started going. I was aware of the results from minox research I’d done for my beard, so thank god I knew of treatment when my hair started to go, because it went quickly..

I use a simple routine of fin oral 1mg and minox foam on my beard and hairline once per day before bed and that’s it. Tried oral minox for a bit and actually lost ground, so swapped back to topical foam and got the hairs back. For me, topical is more superior than oral even at once per day.

Your beard response is dramatic. I would not rush stopping the minoxidil on the beard, as these hairs may be dependent on minoxidil until your genetic kick in. The big question for you is that at some point, your beard should grow independent of minoxidil, so ask yourself, when do you stop the beard minoxidil? Possibly when you are in your later 20s, to be sure that your genetics are controlling the beard.

Beard and hair transplant and staying on finasteride

For those of you who have gotten hair transplants, do you still have to take fin to maintain it? I’m assuming your scalp would still be attacking the new follicles. I can’t take fin because it gave me some nasty side effects so I want to see if it’s effective without it. If not, for those who got beard transplants, what are your thoughts on it? I have really bad facial hair growth and don’t want to look like an egg when I finally lose the rest of my hair. I would appreciate information like prices and especially for the beard transplant, how much of your face were they able to cover and do you like the way it looks? I’d appreciate any advice I can get.

Hair loss is a progressive process. Most of my patients take finasteride if they are younger when they get a hair transplant to stop the progression of the balding. Finasteride isn’t needed for beard hair.

My Beard Transplant Left Me with Hyperpigmented Scars (Photo)

To avoid this, I always trim off the skin of the grafts prior to the placing of the grafts into the recipient area, but some very small skin edge may still remain despite this. There are creams that dermatologists use to treat melasma that might address this problem. These could be removed with FUE along with the hair associated with it, undoing the beard transplant.

Beard vs Scalp hair for transplant

I start to get bald from top of my head. The other areas are staying strong so far. Although the front headline go up a bir, it is not at a level it concerns me much. On the other hand, I have a very thick beard. It is actually more than I like at this point. I want to use this beard to close the balding spot. I don’t really care if the beard will be a bit curly since I don’t plan to have a very long hair. Do you think this would work? What is your experience after a year or more if you had a similar operation? I would like to know what are the results of people who have similar experiences with me.

Scalp hair is the ideal hair for a hair transplant. Beard hair is only used if you run out of scalp hair from overharvesting. Overharvesting reflects poor planning on your doctor’s part. Beard hair, when used, is never used in the leading edge of the hairline because it looks like beard kinky hair.

Why Did I Become Almost Bald In Only 4 Months Since October Of The Year 2014

It is related to my poor dental condition : 7 teeth cured but 1 tooth was so ill that i had an horrible pain it was devitalized IN OCTOBER (i don’t know if this word exists in english but i can’t find any translation) and now i have got an infection below another tooth.

Please tell me. I have no more hair on the vertex just a little on the mid and front scalp but very thin. IN early October, i was very hairy but i was wondering if i was going to be bald because of my very first stage or maybe second of the balding scale.

No one seems to care about me, i’m a 28 y.o. man with no Girlfriend and i didn’t want to go through such a nightmare.

I am not sure how poor dental hygiene or cavities can cause hair loss, but probably wont help in attracting a girlfriend either. Certainly poor health and medical illness (such as “poor dental condition”) can cause stress to your body and thus hair loss; however the most common cause of hair loss in men is genetic balding where you lose the hair is a certain “pattern”. Men in their 20’s often experience this genetic Male Pattern Balding (MPB).
