The before pictures do show some native hair in the transplanted area and that is probably what you are seeing falling out. This is shock loss for you which is far less significant considering the good early results you have

Celexa and Lexapro Can Cause Hair Loss
My daughter is 38. Her hair began thinning when she was on Celexa. The doctor changed her to Lexapro, and now her hair is falling out by chunks. She is now almost bald in the frontal area of her head. She’s going off of the Lexapro in hopes of her hair growing back. I wanted to report the Forest Laboratories Lexapro to the FDA, but my daughter wants me to wait until she sees a difference in her hair loss or if it will grow back. She has spent a lot of money on hair regrowth products, doctor appointments, and even went to an endocrinologist. Nothing has helped. Please, everyone, get the word out. Report your hair loss issues to the FDA. This massive hair loss my daughter has sure not helped with depression/anxiety. I wish I could upload a photo.

hi Im a cheerleader and recently while I was stunting my partner and I were doing a trick where I start laying on the floor. Well while I was down there he stepped on my hair and then proceeded to throw me up in the air. The results were a huge chunck of hair coming out, at least 50-100 strands. I have long dark hair,about to my lower back, and I was wondering if that hair will grow back and if so how long will it take?
It will grow out, but it will take some time to grow to the length you have now. It might take a few months to get started, or it may start in as little as a few weeks, but it will come back.

Child Attacked By Dog, Lost Most of Her Scalp
A friend’s 3 year old grand daughter was attacked by a dog and she lost most of her scalp. What remains is a small portion on the right side of her head, and the rest was replaced with skin grafts from her back. What kind of hair replacement / regrowth options are available for her? If it makes any difference in treatment options she is african-american.
Everything depends upon how much good scalp she has left and the amount of good hair that remains. If, for example, a person lost 20% of their scalp (replaced by skin grafts), then the other 80% could possibly be stretched to cover the missing part, and in an ideal situation the stretched skin (that contains hair), might produce enough cover with artful surgery. If however, the proportions are the reverse (80% of the scalp was lost and replaced by skin grafts), the likelihood is that there may not be enough hair or scalp to move around to cover the defects. I would like to see a set of good pictures of her. If the child’s family does not have the means to pay for surgery, this can be done with minimal to no charge for those who could not afford this type of work. First, a doctor needs to make a careful examination, starting off with sending pictures if she is outside of California and can not be seen by me in person.
