Ask yourself if is there something called ‘A Little Bit Pregnant’. Clearly the answer is no. The same applies to just trying a few hair transplant grafts. Once you start the hair transplant process you are committing a lifetime of hair transplants to follow the balding as it occur. Imagine that you put a few hair grafts on the Right frontal hairline, then lost hair is lost behind it; these transplanted hair would stick out so everyone could see them as they became more and more isolated from a receding hairline because these hairs last forever, but not the hair behind them.. Don’t do it unless you have a Master Plan which includes hair transplants with a good doctor to fix a real problem.

I have been on finasteride but still encountering recession in my hairline in terms of miniaturization. But i noticed that my hair fall has actually decreased, so is the fin working or…? Was wondering am i really having Androgenetic alopecia

Yes, it is working but possibly not well on your hairline.

This man is showing that minoxidil has worked on his hairline. The reason that most say that it only works on the crown (vertex) is that the FDA only got approved for claims on the crown (Vertex) when the drug got approved. I’m a 17 year old kid who had alopecia areata starting at 15 years old. I shaved my head (all the way to the skin, shaving cream and all) and did this for 2 years. Recently i stopped and my hair has grown again (YAY!) Its back to normal but for the past month, my hair has started falling again. Can alopecia areata come back again? Or is it another problem? and if please what will be a solution for it!

There is no cure for alopecia areata, and as such, it can regress and then come right back. If it comes back again, another such experience it is not predicable. The hairline should be V-Shaped as this is a typical hairline in a Caucasian male whose hairline has matured (bottom photos). Unfortunately, your surgeon gave you a rounded female hairline by shape, The leading edge of the hairline should have a transition zone in front of the two and three hair grafts so that there is no visible hairline present (the three last photos), just a zone from the forehead to the thicker hair. You have no such zone. Compare your hairline on the left with the three photos at the bottom of the window. This is a typical mature male hairline which has a better shape to it. In all of our patients we create a transition zone in the front of the two and three hair grafts as as shown in the three pictures at the bottom which demonstrates a ‘no-hairline hairline’.

The issue at hand is not the blood levels achieved. A dose of 5mgs runs heart risks not worth taking for a healthy man. The point is at what level will the hair effect happen. The answer is a 2.5mgs daily, good results are seen and it is safe from severe cardiac side effects which is very rarely reported.
