My hairline is visible as a hair transplant as it has 2 and 3 hair grafts there. What can I do about it? (photo)

You should have only single hairs in the first 4 mm of your frontal hairline or the hair transplant shows as a hair transplant. Your surgeon may not have put only single hairs there. A transition zone of single hairs is critical to make for a no-hairline hairline. This is what you should now do, see a surgeon that knows how to do this and have it placed in-front of your existing hairline and you will look better than normal.

Vitamins and hair loss

John Bell, M.S Business Marketing, University of Toronto (2005)

Yes, it does. Your hair thrives on vitamins, but it can be hard to maintain optimum levels. The reason for that is because the sources for all of these vitamins can be so varied. It’s hard for most people to fit all the different foods in which all of these vitamins are found. Also, if you are lacking a significant amount of any single vitamin, your hair can be affected severely. Here is what each vitamin does for your hair.

vitamin A

Vitamin A is a natural vitamin that grows every cell in your body. Therefore it’s also one of the natural vitamins essential for hair growth. It is also responsible for allowing your scalp to moisturize itself by producing this oil called sebum. Without having sufficient amounts of it you’re sure to face hair loss. It can be found in foods like milk, eggs, and yogurt.

Vitamin B

Biotin, also known as Vitamin B, is one of the best vitamins for hair growth. It’s so essential to hair growth that it is also used to treat hair loss. Being deficient in vitamin B is nearly impossible because of how abundant it is in nature. It’s found in whole grains, almonds

Vitamin C

Out of all food vitamins for hair growth, this one is special because it essentially works as an anti-aging serum. That might be overselling it a bit, but essentially you get the point. Vitamin C produces collagen, which then prevents hair from aging. Great sources for this vitamin C include peppers, strawberries, and citrus fruits.

Vitamin D & E

Vitamin D isn’t really for hair growth, rather it’s to prevent hair loss. See, many of the food vitamins for hair growth are very straightforward, however, the role played by vitamin D in hair growth is not yet understood. All we know is low levels of vitamin D is also linked to hair loss. Vitamin E helps prevent the same kind of stress that vitamin C does. Sunflower seeds, almonds, avocados, and spinach are all great sources for vitamin E. Though it’s similar to C, it does not prevent aging.

What Happen to the Balding Once a Man Is on Finasteride

The long term studies on finasteride show that the graphed out curve for balding on the drug looks like the people not on the drug, but there is a shift in the first two years as the hair growth is benefited from the drug. When the study was taken out 10 years, the slope of the curve continued downward.

Want to take a break from finasteride

I’m 18 and I’ve been secretly taking fin for 1.5 years (23m, losing hair since 18m mostly temples), I mainly kept what I had and regrew a bit.. Now I want to take a break for a few months, thoughts?

Taking a 2 months break will cause you to get “Catch-up Hair Loss” which means not only will you lose the benefits but you will also lose the hair you might have lost that the drug stopped from falling out. Think twice about it!

Water Quality Causing My Hair Loss?

i recently moved to new york, and i noticed a difference in the water quality when showering. the water seems to take longer to rinse of soap and shampoo. after a few days, i notice my hair was much more prone to breaking and falling out. when it falls out, i notice even the root of the hair has fallen. i am 19 years old and have very good genetics for a thick head of hair. i have already switched to a thickening shampoo (l’oreal) and plan on gettinga shower filter.

whats happening and how can i resolve it?

Some parts of the country have hard water, which contains a high mineral content and impacts the way soap suds. Water softeners are commonly sold in those parts of the country where the water is hard. For more on hard water, see Wikipedia.

Don’t jump to conclusions about the water, but you may be correct to change your shampoo and probably use a conditioner.

Over-Harvesting of the Donor Area from an FUE Beard Transplant (Photo)

This is another patient who had his donor area over-harvested with a see-through look that he did not expect. He was never informed that this could happen. He wants something done about it and I recommended Scalp Micropigmentation for him (see: https://scalpmicropigmentation.com/scar-covering/#!) which should easily handle the appearance of the see-through donor area. His doctor should have told him that this could happen.

Well medicated to reverse miniaturization, but still not there

Compared to the pictures from past months, my hair looks improved a bit (I mean really a bit). But I still see short, miniaturized hair fall. My medication history: 10 months on fin 1mg, 5 months on dut 0.5mg, 4 months on oral minoxidil 5mg. Why do the miniaturized hairs remain?

Just because you are taking good medications for your hair loss, there is no guarantee that the progressive nature of your hair loss will reverse all of the miniaturization you have. Stay on the coarse, and time will tell you where you will be down the road.

Hats, Hot Showers, and Other Hair Loss Myths

I am a teenager of 15 years old that is experincing hair loss in the front of my hair(hair line). i have become woried and obssesed with finding a solution so i have made an apointment to get medical attention. i think the reason for my hair loss is using too many hats, taking showers with hot water, and shampoing everyday. now i learned this was wrong so i stoped.

Question: is there anything natural and healthy for the hair that you can recommend for me to use?

I heard that aloe vera plant, boiled cinammon glove is good treatment to restore the health of the hair. is this true?

CapWearing hats, taking showers with hot water, and shampoing everyday will not damage your hair unless you are pulling on it or picking it. I strongly doubt that among the values claimed for the aloe vera plant, that hair growth is one of them. On the internet, I did find suggestions that boiled cinnamon sticks in solution will help increase hair health, but I would suggest that if you use this, you might let it cool down first. Sounds like you are obsessing over your hair. See a good dermatologist and find out what is happening to you now, before you worry more and let this impact your life.

What Are These Bumps 4 Days from My Hair Transplant? (Photo)

Some doctors leave the edge of the graft sticking out of the recipient sites at the time of the surgery. These bumps may fall off but you won’t know for about 7-10 days more. Send me photos then. I generally don’t like doing this because sometimes the skin left out heals above the surface of the skin producing cobbling of the skin.
