Shortness of breath on Rogaine

I’ve tried rogaine in the past and it surprisingly worked really well. I stopped due to having shortness of breath. I was able to take in air but it felt like a low amount would go in from what I would breathe in if that makes sense. I never had shortness of breath associated with chest pains or anything like that, which is described by others. It just seemed that everything would be fine until a month of use. Then I would experience the shortness of breath. For example, if I was walking the shortness of breath would start to kick in.

I was wondering if you know anything I can do or take to offset this from happening? I tried every other day and even 2%. But eventually, after about a month I would experience the same issue. Thank you for your time.

Rogaine (minoxidil) when absorbed by the body is both a hypotensive agent and is a known medication to cause heart damage. Sounds like you shouldn’t use it. Check with your doctor

Female Eyebrow Restoration After Cancer Surgery (with Photos)

This woman lost her eyebrows after multiple skin cancer surgeries. She had one procedure of 95 grafts into the eyebrow area. She told me that she cuts her new brows short every other day, and absolutely loves the results.

Should I keep my hair short as I am losing hair?

Longer hair is better when you are losing hair because you can style it to make it look better and you can use products to make your hair thicker (thickening agents available at your hair salon).

Female Hair Loss from Taking Accutane

Hello I am a 25 yr old female and I took accutane two years ago and a couple of months ago for two months only due to a money run out. I have been experienced some hair loss more than normal. Is it possible to recieve a hair transplant for this problem or drugs such as avodor or proscar.

Accutane is known to cause hair loss in some people. To date, there are no FDA approved oral medications for female hair loss. There are many, many risks for women taking finasteride (Proscar/Propecia) or dutasteride (Avodart), and it is highly recommended that you do not do this, particularly at your age. Furthermore if Accutane was the cause of your hair loss, drugs would not help. You should wait at least a year to see if your hair grows back. If your loss is not Accutane related, minoxidil might help.

Should I Use Vaseline On My Eyebrow Transplants?

Doctor, compare about eyebrow transplant and hair transplant. Which has higher success rate and why?

3-4 days after eyebrow transplant I have a very little crust and scabs. Is it a good sign? Do I have to use vaseline petroleum to my eyebrow right away after procedure?

Hair transplant results are the same for eyebrow or scalp. The eyebrows tend to crust less, but the key to keeping crusting down is to use a good washing technique daily after the transplant. I have never recommended Vaseline petroleum after a hair transplant.

Side Effects Only After Quitting Propecia?

Is it possible to not have any side effects while taking Propoecia, but then expriencing them after quitting?

Propecia (finasteride 1mg) stays in your blood stream only for one day, which is why you need to take it daily. You weren’t clear as to what side effects you are experiencing after stopping Propecia. I would need more information from you to know where you are taking me.

Sisterlocks

There is a Dr. JoAnne Cornwell who has claimed that she has developed a form of locking hair called brotherlocks and sisterlocks. She claims that they do not put any form of tension on the scalp meaning no traction alopecia. I was hoping you could look into this potential scam before it fools too many.

This is a styling option, not a medical or surgical option. I looked at the product’s website, but I am not sure what Sisterlocks is (aside from some kind of hair extension for African hair types) or how it attaches to the hair or scalp. It seems like it’s just a technique rather than a product, but I’ve spent 15 minutes going through this site and I’m still coming up empty. Anyone else have an idea?

Sorry, but I can not help you understand it any better.

On finasteride for 3 months and still don’t see much results

I am writing because I’m am wondering about the effects of finasteride on my hair. I understand you said to wait until at least a year to see results. I go through various mini sheds where I notice a portion of my hairline receding. I started fin when my hair loss was minimal and it has only sped up or continued to recede on finasteride. I have had no sides. Will my hair go back to what it was when I first started taking finasteride or am I stuck with what I have until the sheds finish. I am slightly confused because I don’t necessarily feel like I’m shedding more then the average person would. It has been 3 months today. Any advice or clarity would be much appreciated. Thank you

You must be patient. There is no guarantee that finasteride will work on you, but although it may not reverse the hair loss in a year, it will probably slow or stop it
