Is There a Drug for Facial Hair Growth?

is there a medicine, vitamins or any way to make facial hair grow?

Minoxidil is known to produce facial hair in some when applied to the face, but I can not tell you what will happen if you are trying to push beard growth by using it if you’re very young. I am not aware nor do I think that minoxidil will bring on a bristly beard.

If you want to accelerate your beard growth, I do not know any drug or vitamin that will help.

I had over 6000 FUE grafts taken from my donor area, will it regrow?

Donor hair that is taken never regrows as it is lost forever. More than 6000 FUE grafts is a very large number of grafts which suggests that your donor area might be depleted and you will have a thin look in the back of your head.

Is There Any Way to Scrape the DHT off of Your Scalp?

I really don’t want to go on fin because of the sides, but I need another way of getting the DHT off of my scalp. Has anyone ever been successful at scraping it off? Any help is appreciated.

The DHT is in your blood and hair follicles, so it can’t be taken off of your scalp.

7 months on finasteride and minoxidil (photos)

This man clearly used Toppik powder concealer to make his balding area look fuller in the before picture as flakes of Topppik show up in the photo. After the 7 months, he must have felt good enough about himself to take this photos without any evidence of Toppik on the photo.

8 Days after 2380 grafts with photos

I have been asked lately to show more pictures after the surgery so that prospective patients can understand what they may look like. Each patient is different because of hair and skin color. The lower the contrast, the less detectable it is, the grater the contrast the more detectable the ‘beard look’ of new hair is. This patient is 9 days after his surgery. His skin color is olive but his hair is black so what we are seeing is his black hair in the recipient area against his olive skin color. Note that there is no crusting present and these grafts will eventually shed over the next few weeks and then regrow in 4-5 months.

Hair Transplant 4 months ago and the redness remains (photo)

Be patient and everything will turn out ok. Some people, a rare few, keep their redness for up to a year. It always happens in redheads, blondes, and fair haired people when it happens. Sometimes the use of topical steroids can address the redness. When all of the hair grows out, the redness will barely show,

9 months finasteride (photo)

A great response to finasteride alone. The reversal of the frontal hairline occurs more often in men under 25.

It’s Ironic That Hair Transplants Give People Confidence

I had amazing hair often when a teen and so on, i didn’t go about feeling great every day cause my hair was great, i still depressed about things and so on…..Its crazy how the mind works.

I can tell you from 29 years in the hair transplant business that men, of all ages and all professions, feel better about themselves with hair. Many actors who made it in the movies that I did surgery on, think that their hair improved their overall confidence to do their jobs better. That is across the board for all men I have worked with.

A Few Hairs Are Weak and Wavy in My Otherwise Straight Hair

Hi,

I’ve noticed that a few of the hairs at my hairline have become ‘wavy’ where as most of my hairs stand straight. Is it the case that these hairs are miniaturising?

They don’t appear to be thinner in diameter than the hairs next to them…but also don’t seem to grow as strong (i.e. they ‘fall down’ rather than grow straight up).

Thanks in advance.

The weaker hairs you’re seeing could be miniaturizing, or it could just be that you’re seeing hairs in different parts of the hair cycle. Without seeing you, I have no way to know.

If you want to know if you have started the balding process, looking at one hair at a time is not the way to go. See a doctor who will measure your hair bulk in different parts of the scalp. Balding people (even in the early part of the process where you can not see any thinning) will always show a reduction in hair bulk.
