First of all, you need a proper diagnosis and that requires a good doctor to assess miniaturization of your scalp. Do not assume anything. Your hair is too important to play Russian Roulette with. You should first know what is happening to you, then discuss the options with a good doctor. Taking Proscar without knowing what is going in is a mistake.

2-4% of men taking finasteride will experience some level of ED. The options could be to reduce your dose to half of a quarter of the dose and continue it for 6 weeks at the lower dose, increase it gradually but stop at taking one pill every other day (half the dose is 80% as effective). I’m taking finasteride 1mg now for two years and my hair improved a lot.
Now with exams and very busy schedule I forgot to make an appointment with my docor. I now have one in three weeks. But now i’m afraid i’ll lose my hair again because i’m out of finasteride for three weeks.Is it possible i can lose a lot of hair in three weeks?
It is possible that you can lose hair after stopping Propecia for three weeks. It generally takes longer for “catch up” hair loss to occur. Catch up hair loss is basically the loss of your native hair that benefited from the use of Propecia.

Xiaolian, 22, didn’t look after his badly damaged nose following a traffic accident in August 2012. The infection corroded the cartilage of his nose, making it impossible for surgeons to fix it. They then decided to grow him a new one at a hospital in Fuzhou in Fujian province, China.
It was grown by placing a skin tissue expander onto Xiaolian’s forehead, cutting it into the shape of a nose and planting cartilage taken from his ribs.

I get oily skin and increased libido while on zinc 50mg/day. As Zinc increases testosterone so I fear that it may increase the progression rate of my baldness. Considering that I’m also on Finasteride, will the use of zinc negatively affect my hair?
The short answer to your question is that zinc does not necessarily negatively affect hair loss. Some studies show zinc supplements increase testosterone levels.
There are other studies that show zinc supplements do NOT affect testosterone levels.
For a normal healthy individual with genetic male pattern balding (MPB) taking over the counter supplements such as zinc would not negatively or positively affect their hair loss. It is always a good idea to follow up with your doctor if you have concerns.
