I’m 23 and Want a Little Hair Transplant Now

I’m 23 and 6 months old at a nw 2.5 right now. I’m not trying to get a full hair transplant back to square one but maybe one to fill in my temples a little more. Would I have to wait till 25?

You need to find a good doctor who can predict your long term balding pattern. I tell people that a little transplant is like being a little pregnant, no such thing. I’m 23 and Thinking About Getting a Hair Transplant

I am thinking about getting a transplant, FUE from turkey as its all I could afford. I am 23 and at Norwood 3 and its killing my confidence. When I was 18 I could honestly get any girl I wanted, Now I look like a meth head with how far my temples have receded. Going bald is not an option as I have a “bubble head” In short I look hella ugly without hair, whereas back in the day before my hair started to go I was regularly told I was hot. Is a hair transplant for life? What do I have to do after the transplant? Where is the best place to get one?

23 is too young to have a hair transplant. There is a wonderful post earlier today which covers the 10 things you need to know about hair transplants and I would recommend it. If you go to Turkey, they are known for depleting your donor area and leaving you with not enough hair to manage the progressive nature of male pattern balding (see here:https://baldingblog.com/need-master-plan-think-hair-transplants-photos/ ). This could be you in a few years, so what you do today is critically important to your future.

I’m 23 and scheduled for 1500 grafts next month

So I’m set to have a 1,500 graft hair transplant in May and I’m pretty stoked (23, NW 3.5.) I have thick hair and no diffuse thinning but my temples and hairline is messed up and like many of you I have let my hair loss severely impact me. For those who have had one… Most importantly are you happy with the results? Is there anything you wish you knew prior before having yours? Anyone that has thoughts/tips/or stories much appreciated. Beyond excited to have my hair back but would love a little more information about what I’m getting myself into

23 is a bit young for a hair transplant. Have you and your surgeon built a Personalized Master Plan for your future short-term and long-term hair loss? What is your lifetime supply of grafts (each of us is different) and if you don’t know this, then you might get into trouble in the future. I’m 22 Years Old With a Great Hairline, but Thinning At the Top! (with Photo)

Hi! I’m 22 years old and am about to turn 23 and am very concerned about some hair loss/balding. What is most frightening is how sudden this is. Is all hair loss a sign of balding or can hair loss happen suddenly due to external factors?

While doing research on balding, I saw the pattern charts. I don’t seem to be following any pattern, but the thinning of my hair is certainly noticeable to me. My friends don’t see it yet, but I can at least style it for now to hide any thinning.

I’m seeing thinning at the top of my head… My hairlines have NOT receded and I am not experiencing any loss of hair on the sides. Do you have a guess as to what pattern this could be? Do you think it’s balding or temporary? Is there anything I can do to slow or stop it?

22 seems like a really young age to lose hair :/ especially for someone who aspires to work in the entertainment industry..

We generally think that men recede front to back and with the presentations of the Norwood classifications these seems to be the case; however, I do see people maintain strong frontal hairlines and lose hair behind it. This is why when we examine a patient we test for hair bulk behind the hairline and in the crown. Often, to my surprise, I see loss of bulk in the top and/or in the crown, even when it does not appear deficient with my naked eye.

If you take a person with medium weight dark brown or black hair that has a loss of 50% of the hairs in the top and crown, you likely will not be able to tell that there is hair loss. If the bulk analysis shows hair loss in the top and crown, that is a good reason for taking finasteride and it will often control it. By taking two measurements about a year apart, you will know for sure if the hair loss continues, is stabilized, or if it reverses.

At 22 years old, it isn’t abnormal to see hair loss if you have the genetics for it. But I don’t have any idea if this is genetic balding, disease, diet, stress, etc. You need to have an examination to hopefully determine what is going on with your loss and try to get it under control. Knowing what is going on allows you to be proactive in what happens to you.

I’m 22 With Mild Hairline Recession — So Should I Start Propecia?

Hi, apologies if this question has already been answered. I’m a 22 yr old male with what I believe is mild recession and thinning at the temples, creating more of a widows peak. I started noticing the recession and thinning (really only on the right side) within the last year and it is slowly but I believe surely, getting worse and at a quick pace.

My question is, assuming what i believe it true, is it worth starting on propecia or do you think it won’t do anything?

Well, considering I haven’t examined you at all and have no medical history about you, I have no way to know if Propecia is worth starting. It’s a prescription medication, so you will need to see a doctor to find out if you should take it.

At 22 years old with early loss, it could be beneficial to halt the progression further. But if you don’t have genetic hair loss (let’s say you’re just seeing your mature hairline form), then Propecia probably isn’t worth starting. This is why you should see a doctor to help make that determination.

I’m 22, what can I do about this? (photo)

I am devastated. No girl would even talk with me. I feel like I have been isolated from everything that someone of my age should be involved in. I never take off my baseball hat anywhere I go.

Topical finasteride with minoxidil might work and is worth a try if you can’t handle the oral finasteride but considering your age I would want to work a Personalized Master Plan with you so we could plan for your future professionally. You might respond to the use of a dermaroller as well if you add it to your routine and apply the minoxidil immediately after using it.

I’m 22 and Want a Hair Transplant.

Absolutely no hair transplants before you are 25 because you will be chasing your hair loss with annual hair transplants and lots of money you might not have. Worst of all, you will be using up your donor hair without a Master Plan for your life going forward. You need to find a caring doctor who can build a Master Plan for your future possible hair loss, including tomorrow and 10-30 years from now.

I’m 21 and I want to do an FUE. Is it ok?

So i’ve been battling hair loss since i was 16-17 or younger(had a high hairline to start with so didn’t actually know) i’ve been on propecia and mnoxidio for around 3 years now and i have sabora too which i started treating with nizoral recently. I had a problem down there since i was younger cause of my abnormally large member and since fin i have weaker erections so i decided to stop doing fin and change that with prp treatments I’m seeing little hairs all over the hairline but no regrowth so i want to get a fue transplant Btw im nw2-3 cant decide but the men on both my parents side are bald And the hair loss i have is mainly in the hairline area Is there anyone who can advice me what to do? Its really taking a toll on me and my parents will pay for the treatment so i wont have a financial problem Thanks alot in advance your balding little brother.

Doing a hair transplant at your age would be a big mistake because you don’t know what is going to happen to you in a year or so. If you had a hair transplant now, in a year you would likely need another. Then when you did the second one, in a year you might need a third transplant. Do you get it, it never ends until your final hair loss pattern can be documented by a good doctor. Usually I can do it when a man reaches 25-26 years of age and the consider a hair transplant if indicated. An FUE is a hair transplant and I am the first to perform FUE and wrote the original articles on it so I know what I am talking about.
